K-9 UNIT

The K-9 Unit aids and provides support to all Field and Support, Court, Jail and Administrative Operations, while supporting our local and regional partners. The unit provides several services including, searches, narcotics detection, explosive components detection, article searches (guns and ammunition) and SWAT team support. The K-9 handlers are specially trained deputies who have received rigorous training and must maintain national certifications. The handlers and their K-9 partners have some of the tightest relationships and depend upon each other for successful and safe mission completion.
